(TFT) My introduction

Hello all,

I subscribed to the digest, but don't seem to be getting any. I saw that
messages are posting in the archives, so here goes.

I "found" Melee in 8th grade. That would make it 1977. I had been wanting to
buy D&D because my cousin played it. One day a pal and I went to the mall for
a movie, and I went into the bookstore to drool at D&D (the almost-original
three book boxed edition). There was Melee. Well, I could afford (barely)
$2.95. And the rest is history.

I played TFT all through high school, and got several friends thoroughly
hooked. Then again, I pulled out my stuff for a last campaign in my last two
years in college. Years later, I tried to interest my fiance in TFT, and we
actually played a MicroQuest or two. But that didn't work.

I always liked the "clean" TFT system. My friends and I had very few problems
with the rules as to whether anything was allowed or not.

I have everything TFT from Metagaming (okay, I don't have every TSG),
including Interplay. All very well used, of course.

Thanks for bringing back some great memories!!

Ed
