Well, who was that fellow?  Was he doing something mildly silly like calling 
halflings "Wickers" and "Tinkers" or some such nonsense???

BTW:  The Piltdown Man was (actually) proven to be a fake;  the skull 
consisted of a human cranium attached to a filed-down ape jaw.  Still, I 
thought this was one of the coolest little asides (amongst the many asides) 
in ITL.  I think it just really goes to show that SJ knows how to take 
advantage of any opportunity presented him.
