I had a GM who would let us uncover evidence that the world had been destroyed by 22km demons that all appeared one day and burned down everything. Going down into his Labyrinths we would always cross the ?ash layer?, and then start finding weird stuff like square crystal balls mounted into wooden cabinets that didn?t work anymore or hood ornaments. One day he let drop the name of a major Demon and it was the same name as the Premiere of Russia. Apparently everyone had been reduced to the dark ages except the world leaders of our current age.
