Night six, you charge attack him.

You have a DX+3 magical spear with a silver tip. You get an additional DX+2 because you waited for an opening for two turns. This should be an easy shot to make, even on 4D. The gentleman in white defends with his cane. Your spear does double damage on a charge attack and you are holding it with two hands (1+1).

Once slain the man completely dissappears as though he was just an illusion. The experince gained is still valid [24 total]. The fact that he was an illusion is lost on the children who go into a rage. They charge you with their fangs bared. Eva is freaked. One of these feral looking children running at you with murder in their eyes is Greg. She runs back in the house. You are outnumbered and things may not go well. If you win initiative you may take up a position in the doorway so only three children can attack you at once. Winning initiative to get to the doorway first is most critical at this point. If you don't the children will surround you. The one in your rear hex will attempt HTH so he, or she, can bite at DX 14. The rest will kick you on the ground. Every turn one will jump into the pile until you are dead or turned. The best tactical choice you can see, if you win initiative is to take up a position at the top of the stairs to the attic floor. Then only one could attack you at a time and they would be attacking up hill. The problem with this is the children will ignore you and run into the house after Eva. Strategicaly the best choice is to get in the doorway to the house. This way none of them can get behind you, or attempt HTH. Their only choice will be to kick and scratch.

Each time you are wounded by a bite. You must make a 3D vs. ST save or be turned into a vampire. If you survive two turns, Eva will appear in a window with her bow. She will be in berserk state (DX+2) and will support you. On the third turn she will shoot any of the children but Greg. The children will regenerate the arrow damage at one point every second turn. Her arrow heads are not silver. Should you fail, or be turned by then, the children will turn on Eva. If all of the children are slain she must make 3D vs. IQ to come out of berserk. If she fails she will attack you for hurting Greg.

If you are turned, The man in white will reappear. Read the "Night six, 'yes we will join you', or the "Yes" section, and follow that thread.

If you defeat all the children, and are not turned there is a total of one hundred and sixty one experience to be had. Normally children are only worth five, but these were vampires, and as such are worth full experience. Continue to read the "No" thread.

    If you are slain the adventure is over.
