(TFT) ROF Codes?



So I'm trying to create a new weapons list and I'm trying to keep track of
all of the different "Rates of Fire". 

The problem is that describing a Rate of Fire (see the ROF) column is a
really LOONG... "code". 

Anyone got any ideas on how to shrink it? Now, I've already tried just
giving it a number or letter (i.e., ROF M = 1/1 turn) but this screws up if
you later want to add a "new" ROF. 

So how can I 'shrink' the code, but still carry all of the information with
it (number of shots per turn, increase with increased DX)?

Any ideas?

Rate of Fire (ROF) Unless otherwise specified, all weapons have an ROF 1/1.
The number of times per 4 AP action the weapon can be fired/used. Many
weapons can be used more often per action when the users DX is higher.
Weapons generally fire once per turn. Weapons can be fired fast depending
on both the technology of the weapon and the skill of the weapons wielder
as follows:
ROF             Rate of Fire (from worst to best)                         
Example         
1/96            Fires every 8 minutes (96 turns)                          
Heavy Ballista
1/24            Fires every 2 minutes (24 turns)                          
Ballista                
1/12            Fires every 12th turn (one minute)                     
Musket, Arquebus
1/6             Fires every 6 turns                                    
Light Arbalest          
1/4 (1/3=24)    Fires every 4th turn, or every 3rd turn if adjDX 21+      
Ogre-Sized Heavy Ballista
1/3 (1/2=18)    Fires every 3rd turn, or every other turn if adjDX 18+    
Shotgun (double)        
1/3 (1/2=16)    Fires every 3rd turn, or every other turn if adjDX 16+    
Heavy Crossbow
1/3 (1/2=15)    Fires every 3rd turn, or every other turn if adjDX 15+    
Derringer (double barrel)       
1/2 (1/1=18)    Fires every other turn, or every turn if adjDX 18+        
Shotgun (single)        
1/2 (1/1=15)    Fires every other turn, or every turn if adjDX 15+
