You are not alone.

Since I like high combat games (after all, the combat system is one of the
things that really distiguishes TFT from other games), so kind of healing
capability is mandatory (or you have to have players show up with 4-5
replacement characters).

It's all about taste -- I get plenty of complexity in the Real World. So
when I game, I just like to kill things.
