Re: (TFT) unsubscribing

Well, in the tradition of rock stars who sell more albums after their passing than during their life, I present here the "best of" compilation for Matt. Just a selected couple of his posts over the years. "Till next time Matt."

Hi

Just wanted to introduce myself; I joined the list to get connected with other TFT players, exchange ideas, and talk about various house rules, online games etc. I firtst bought the Melee Microgame in about 1979 (!) and then shifted into about 20 years of AD&D. Now I've discovered the beauty of these simple balanced rules and I'm reintroducing the Advanced game to my friends.

I also really enjoy creating fantasy settings and have very good illustration and mapmaking skills.

So, hello!

Excellent thread by the way. Hope to see more elaboration on your summary. I'd been thinking of giving the d20 a go myself...

Or, you could just abandon the dice altogether and let creativity loose...
Next time, try a combat with NO dice and see what happens!

Boy I'm glad I switched over to a humans-only/no-magic game. It really solves the "Dwarves mining molybdenum using vacuum spells" problem straightaway...

Matt,
I had no idea. This makes me think of the Three Musketeers European swords and gunpowder genera.
Are you using a created world or a real Earth location?

Pure and total fantasy. The setting includes a completely
created-from-scratch array of "natural" monsters and a variety of effected human cultures (diseased, mainly, but also simply radical).

And the no-magic rule does not exclude mysticism or crafts.

It's wonderful. The diversity is as broad as in any mainstream fantasy setting.

... the end
