Re: (TFT) bias of game toward wizards

I think it depends entirely on the situation, which a good GM can adjust
to provide good opportunities for wizards as well as various non-wizard
types.

There are some spells which can dispose of practically any standard
fighter. In a duel situation, I think 32-point wizards are pretty well
balanced against 32-fighters (by design of Melee and Wizard), but wizards
tend to get more formidable by adding points than fighters, for a head-on
one-on-one duel.

In a series of encounters, however, the wizard has to use strength to cast
spells, while a good fighter may stay effective a lot longer. Similarly,
faced with a bunch (or a stream) of cannon-fodder, some wizards may have a
harder time dealing with them than would some experienced fighters.

In a campaign, there can be all sorts of situations which favor wizards or
non-wizards.
