RE: (TFT) Rant: part VI

An interesting point.

Yet, let's consider a factor another point. TFT doesn't automatically make some races or people evil. For example, orcs aren't inherently evil in TFT. Instead, people and other creatures are evil (or good) because of the choices that they make. So, for example, ghouls in TFT are generally considered evil because of their disgusting dining habits. Etc. I would caution against calling an entire race of creatures to be evil. That persepctive *could* (not invariably, but it could) tend to create a situation like in AD&D in which the point of the game is to kill stuff (that is classified as evil) rather than completing a quest within an overall milieu.

I find it interesting that Cas Liber said,

"Aw heck, lets make some monsters........." and then introduced the GARRADOR.

Anyway, here is part 6 of my rant.

VI Final conclusion

We choses something, anything. A dragon, a demon, a green slime, it doesn't really matter. We give it a name and make it astral. We make it astral; stardragon, or spritdemon, or ghostslime. We call it evil absolute. Yes, Ladies and Gentlemen, I am suggesting that we create a new vision of Evil. More specifically an evil name. Like Ahriman, the Hindu version of individualism as it is represented in opposition to grouping and unity. But that's not new is it. How about Jed?

I conclude with these words. What ever ultimate bad guy we can create, it needs a name.
