Subject: (TFT) Lurkers unite!

Anybody ever designed a monster called a Lurker? I've been enjoying reading
here too.

So, is a Lurker's IQ lower than average ... or higher?

:-)

I've got a question about the Dark City products: I've seen an awful lot of
"compatible with X, Y or maybe Z" stuff come and go over the years. The
problem is that what works well in one system doesn't work well in another:
visualize three starting spearmen taking on an average troll in TFT versus the
same scenario in MERPS. The question: how well does Dark City playtest for
TFT? Y'all keep mentioning them, so you must like the games?

IMHO, they were clearly designed specifically for TFT, with the Dark City rules published as a work-around for copyright problems. I've played through large parts of "Island of Lost Spells", and the encounters are all exactly right for TFT groups, with the "boss" encounter bad enough that a really tough party *might* survive if they aren't smart enough to figure out how to get around it - just as it's intended to be. I guess my only question is whether the adventures work in systems *other* than TFT.

Will update if I find anything different in the other adventures, but since I've talked my wife into refereeing those for me and the kids, it might be a while before I can report.
