Have you actually played much GURPS combat using a hex map? I've played
many years of TFT and GURPS, and while TFT ZOCs serve a purpose and TFT
has a simplicity advantage over GURPS, I find GURPS combat far more
interesting and satisfying (unless the players don't really get all the
rules). I think GURPS handles gamey run-around tactics more effectively
than TFT does.
