(TFT) The Music of Cidri

Foundering on the rocks, the ship lies in ruin. Tempet-smeared streaks of lightning show leaning masts and wildly-flailing, torn sails.
---
Deep in the pine forest small flying creatures float in a heavy silence, their wings glistening brightly as they pass through sharp rays of light.
---
Darkness floods the cave as all sources of light fail in the blink of an eye. In the wary silence, everyone hears a deep inhale of air as if a great bellows was lifted preparing for a firey blast!
---
What music accompanies the fantasy trip best? Our own group leans heavily on 70's and 80's rock. I'd say 90% of the music that accompanies a Mele Mission consists of: Black Sabbath, Jethro Tull, Rush, Yes, Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Pink Floyd, the Who, and Jimi Hendrix. Ozzy, Dio, Iron Maiden, and some Metallica sneak into the mix occasionally. But, for the most part, I'd say that it has to have a fantasy or air of heroic battle (not just anger or violence) to play without comment.

A playlist of my Mele favorites includes:

Black Sabbath - Spiral Architect
Led Zeppelin - Battle of Evermore
Pink Floyd - One of these Days
Jethro Tull - Cold Wind to Valhalla
Rush - By Tor and the Snow Dog
Black Sabbath - Planet Caravan
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
Led Zeppelin - When the Levee Breaks
Yes - Starship Trooper
Led Zeppelin - In My Time of Dying
Pink Floyd - Sheep
Rush - Xanadu
Black Sabbath - The Wizard

What's the atmosphere of your marathon mission? Are the curtains drawn to shut out time? Does the buzzing of thought conjure spirits from the gameboard? Do you wander in the maze of music? Is there a special shake of the dice that you use for the 10 die hammertouch? Is the ashtray full and are the beer bottles empty? Is the tention high when treasure is near?

Good Fortune,
Richard
