No double damage for thrown pole weapons. It's pretty clear to me that was never intended, or it would appear somewhere other than a potential interpretation between two rules. One time I did wonder about something a bit similar to this was in the mounted rules, whether the +2 damage for riding forward above a certain speed would apply to a thrown spear, but I remember concluding it was pretty clear that would not be the case, either. Having a human body holding onto a pole weapon seems to me like it would be instrumental in what I think is imagined as happening in a double damage pole-weapon charge attack - running forward when throwing is not going to double to force of the attack, from a physics standpoint.
