Yes, higher attribute characters can be taken by multiple NPCs. But 
smart high attribute characters have temporal power. So rather than a 
disgruntled former associate hiring a tavern thug to bring back the 
head for a few silver, think more along the line of a disgruntled 
former associate king sending an army as a matter of policy. 

At higher levels of temporal power, it's about the politics, not so 
much about personal revenge. Sure, if you're dumb enough to expose 
yourself, you'll get killed easily. But if you don't, then taking down 
your organization is as good a result.
