Notes
0.681 mph = 1 fps
0.5836 mph = 0.84 fps = MA 1
1.46 fps = 1 mph
MA 0.7 = 1 yard = 3 squares
7 hexes = 10 yards

1 point ST = 5.5 pounds @ 1 foot per second
A football weighs about a pound.
An arm rotational velocity above 2200 degrees per second produces a ball velocity of 60+ mph with rotational velocities of about half that producing roughly half the ball velocity.
ST in pounds * 10 = rotational velocity
Throwing Talent doubles rotational velocity
ST in pounds / 3.66 = ball velocity in mph
ST in pounds / 2.2 = ball MA
65 mph ~ 95 fps for 1 lb football.
1 lb @ 95 fps = 5.5 lbs @ 17.27 fps, i.e. ST 17.27 minimum (a result of 5 on a 3d6 check) to get a 65 mph thrown velocity. Multiplying the velocity by 1.66 gives velocities over 100 mph which is where the commentary from Monday Night Football came from concerning Farvebs ball velocity of over 60 mph roughly equating to throwing a baseball over 100 mph as a baseball weighs one third of a football.
Itbs
bBrett Favre- throws at a clocked 63 mph (equivalent to an MLB 102 mph fast ball)b
Not
bFarve throws a football over 100mph. He broke every finger in both of Freemanbs hands more than once.b

DX = 5 seconds / Figure DX
1 point DX = 5 seconds reaction time
Reaction time is the period needed to perform the motions of an Action.
In accuracy and perception drills on the Sports Science look as QB prospects the best performer completed their throwing motion in ~0.375 of a second suggesting a minimum DX of 14 for that QB.

IQ = 2.5 seconds / Figure IQ
1 point IQ = 2.5 seconds perception time
Perception time is the duration required for a Figure to see, evaluate, and choose an Action. In the Sports Science drills the best perception time recorded was ~0.267 of a second suggesting a minimum IQ of 10 for that QB.

Reaction time + perception time = action time
In the Sports Science accuracy and perception drills the best performer was able to identify and successfully hit a target from a total of three possible moving targets across a fairly large area within ~0.642 of a second. The dimensions of the bfieldb were smaller than an actual ballfield but the 26 inch in diameter targets themselves were reported to be about 5 times smaller than the target presented by a 6 foot tall receiver. In another perception test involving motion lights the average performance was ~0.67 of a second action time with an additional 0.11 of a second added when the performer was distracted by having to answer general knowledge questions while performing the test bringing the action time up to ~0.78 of a second total.

Action time + ST in pounds = Action force
Puts some oomph in the chosen Action.

Action time + DX as measure of Figure nimbleness = Action finesse
Performs the chosen Action adroitly.

Action time + IQ as measure of Figure intelligence = Action flash
Seebs the right Action to choose (or not) quickly.

From scrimmage there are 7 TFT Melee hexes to be covered (n/s) to gain a
First Down.
Each hex can roughly be counted as a yard and a half from side to side with a full 7 hexes gaining a first by about a foot and a half. A mega-hex 7 TFT Melee hexes in diameter is 49 TFT Melee hexes in area drawn with only hexes and half-hexes on a square-hex grid.

Ball velocities for btouchb passes and broll outsb typically come in at about half the velocity of a full speed pass.

Maximum distance seems to relate loosely to maximum velocity in a 1 yard per 1 mph ratio i.e a 70 mph velocity throw roughly equals a 70 yard throw.

So a QB with a 65 mph ball velocity who can deliver the ball accurately within 2/3rds of a second should have ST 18, DX 14, IQ 10 at minimum, or a 42 pt Figure (lvl 10?). Minimum means that this Figure would need to be rolling 5bs to get a maximum effect on 3d6. For a Figure to reliably perform rolls at this level it would need considerably more points.
