What's wrong with a kilo or mega point of ST?

Because stats don't scale linearly.

Who says and why not?
Not asking sinppy-like, just curious about your ideas.
Please expand.
Because character points aren't gained linearly (that is, it takes more and more XP to gain 1 pt of ST) and because the numbers involved with the use of a stat means that the difference between 10 and 11 is greater than the difference between 18 and 19.

Thats not to say you can't have a mega ST, its just that it would work on a rather different scale than anything else in TFT... at best it's a good way to measure how much damage a very tough structure could take, but its not very practical.
