On the occasions that I have dodged (SCA's admittedly slower) arrows, it's
in 1 of 2 modes. At long range, when it's indirect fire, you can see it
coming. At short range, you're not dodging the arrow, you're dodging the
archer's release. Their hand moves, and you do, too. Think Remo Williams.

Of course, I've also been hit at 80 yards by a siege engine, too...
