(TFT) Hypothesis for summonning spells

OK everybody, how's this for a theory/fleshing out

The Magick Of Summoning Spells
Summoning spells make up a large part of most wizardly guilds' repertoires.
They can be envisaged of spells of two parts. The first part consists of a
spell to warp the space-time fabric, creating an etheric worm-hole either
within this plane, or between this and an elemental or demonic one. The
second part of the spell contains an imprint of the creature to be
'borrowed' from its place of origin. Generally wizards have been most
successful at creating specific spells to snare creatures they know best.
Thus the origins of the specific spells have been surmised below.
Now these wormholes are somehow under tension, much like a rubber band
(thus the ST required in keeping the 'borrowed' creature away from its
origin.) and termination of the spell, or death of the creature, will
return it to its origin (thus explaining why summoned creatures vanish upon
dying). There is no relation between distance on Cidri and the wormhole.
Some are 100m long, others 10,000km long. This has baffled wizards so far.
The wormholes are completely intangible and nonnavigable, though it is
postulated that a variant led to the creation of the Gate spell.
Links to the elemental planes are a special case. For some reason it is
easier to 'borrow' elementals from their planes of origin for much longer
periods and these links are somehow self sustaining. Whether this is
because Cidri somehow draws energy and matter from the 4 elemental planes
continuously, so that this particular link is more of a focussed transfer,
rather than created warp, is a point often argued about in wizardly
circles.
