    Excellent.  I read your story and I see exactly
what I prefer.  A long time ago on the D&D news
groups I noticed that people had a bad tendency to
tell stories about their own personal character.
They would go on and on, to no point or final
Conclusion.  It was then that I started writing
stories about what I had seen other people do.
These kinds of stories usually have a point.
Some of the people on the group caught on, some
didn't.  In your case, Tim, I would say that the lost
island of alchemy and gates is exactly the kind of
story I was looking for.
