Re: (TFT) High Tech swords



I'm not knowledgable about metallurgy, but I suspect we'd be
amazed at what modern technology could do to edged weapons if
the incentive really existed. Look at the development in the
last 100 years in firearms. From bolt-action .30-06 Springfields
to lightweight automatic assault rifles firing caseless ammo
with 40mm grenade launchers. From iron sights to thermal sights.
I suspect that if swords were an important weapon (in military
terms) there'd be some shocking improvements.
