(TFT) Poison spiders

They were talking about this on NPR last night.
The Funnel Web Spider is arguably the most poisonious spider in the world.
It is more venomus than all the poisonious snakes in Austraula save the
Death Adder and possably one other. Before an antivenom was developed in the
70's over 50% of bite victoms died, even with hospital treatment. The
effects of a bite are;

first a tingling sensation in the lips and mouth
next the body develops mussel spasms and twitches, especially in the face
then victims begin to salivate and soon after go into shock
death usually results from suffocation when the lungs fill with fluid

The time span of all this wasn't mentioned but I got the impression that it
took a day or two.
