Demon World
Part 009
They want to take out another demon. This is the second midnight. The
walk is longer. About two hours, so they leave two hours before midnight.
It's the same crew as before, with the three little girls to teleport you
into the throne room. You found out their names; Jenifer, Laura, and Hildi.
They run the school and are the smartest teachers. Everyone on the team
looks fabulous in their finest evening wear. Gail is coming along to cover
the retreat of the three young teachers.
Again, everyone is speaking in hushed tones. When you finally get to the
room, you are totally lost, but you are sure it's a different room than the
one before. You mention this and they tell you that doesn't matter.
"All you need is a mental image of home and you will go there." Says
Ada. "That's how teleport works."
Rebecca has carried a huge carpet and is spreading it out for Gail and
the three little girls. "We are going to teleport you in." The three girls
sit on the carpet with Gail. "The throne room is directly above us." They
point up.
One of the girls gestures to Rebecca. "She will rescue the child."
Another girl gestures to Ada. "Ada, will finish the demon."
The three girls line up holding hands. "You will be the first strike."
They bow their heads and the next thing you know ... you are standing before
the throne of a demon. But this time you got a small sense of the seam in
reality. The infinitesimal wind passes over you. Where ever it touches,
you are no longer in the room below, but up here.

Except for the demon on the throne all the other demons are sitting cross
legged and eating appatizers off gold trays. There is a surly lazy
atmosphere in the throne room. Incense is burning on little brass stands
everywhere. The lazy demons will watch with glee as the throned demon
vacates his seat to try and jump you in HTH combat.

Cleansing(1) cost 20 per hex
Ada will cast cleansing on whatever hex the demon is in, naming "Uncle"
to be spared. This should kill the demon, but only do 1D damage to Uncle.
With 1D damage Uncle will still be able to teleport out. If he spent work
charging his glove the 1D damage will probably kill him unless he took the
strength from his necklace. If no one in your group is killed, and the
little girl is rescued you get 50 exp each.
Her name is Wendy. She has a magical rope with her. It has an expunge
spell on it that de-enchants it if anyone but her tries to work it.
