Part 017

    "Yes.  We are going to rescue him again.  Let's go back and set up to 
teleport up here physically.  And be ready to take him back with us, if He's 
willing."  Rebecca and Ada look scared.
    The next moment all three of you are back on the carpet and opening 
your eyes.  Your spirits have returned to your bodies.  Gail is there 
standing guard, and she looks releived to see you waking up.
    Rebecca and Ada wont meet your eyes.  They look down and away.  They 
get up and speak to Gail.  "We found a run away" says Rebecca.
    "He wants to rescue him" says Ada.
    Gail shoots her eyes to you in a bit of disbeleif.  She decides you 
look sane, and determined.  "Well, let's get ready then."  The four of you 
leave your room and go out into the main eating room.
    It is empty.  In this timeless subterrainian crypt is must be sleeping 
time for all the children.  Ada leaves "I'll wake up the three girls."
    Gail speaks "Rebecca, you go with him.  We'll just send two.  Let Uncle 
do all the talking.  If the kid wants to come then bring him down.  If he 
even looks like he might consider it, bring him down.  We can always put him 
back if he changes his mind."  Rebecca nods at this.  "Or causes a problem." 
 Gail says.
    Then she turns to you, but she looks down at the table top not meeting 
your eyes.  "There is a strong chance an ancient demon will notice you and 
Rebecca.  So try to make it quick.  If one shows up, it's over.  Just get 
out.  Don't try to fight with it.  Come back down here.  And if the runaway 
hasn't agreed to come, don't bring him.  Leave him."
    Gail looks in your face, and quickly back down at the table top.  "This 
is important.  If the kid doesn't agree to come he may be possessed.  
Bringing him down here will let the demons know where we are hiding, and 
they'll be on us like a rain storm of sulfer."
    Ada comes in with the three young girls, blinking and rubbing their 
eyes.  They are dressed up in their finest gowns.  You, Ada, and Rebecca are 
already wearing your elegant wear.  Gail runs to change quickly and comes 
back.  She looks perfect but her hair is a mess.
    It's a strange moment for you.  Watching while the three young girls 
tenderly fix up Gail's hair.  But it seems to have a calming effect on 
everyone too.  By the time they step back Jenifer, Laura, and Hildi are wide 
awake.  Rebecca takes up a carpet and the seven of you set off on a long 
walk through the catacombs.
