Dar Fannen's original motivation for the expedition to
the Lost City was to gain a seat on the Council of the
Carnn Wizard's Guild; he would have much rather
continued serving as a grunt apprentice / occasianal
Town Wizard while continuing his studies of Gate
magics.  But certain texts were only available to
Council Members.  ( Otherwise known as 'wizards, with
a capital "W" ' )

The rest, as they say, is game notes.

What do you mean, they don't say that?  :)
