Re: (TFT) Pentagrams and gates?

Okay, well I could go with that interpretation too. Though, I'm curious what situations this would come up in. I'm mainly thinking of sabotaging labs, or pulling off some sort of unexpected trick at a prepared location. Victim needs not to know Gate spells themselves, or they may well sense the gate (4/IQ to sense is pretty easy for someone who knows the spell). Actually, it seems more useful if pentagrams do block gates, since then you could seal one end of a gate in a pentagram to lock it from one side.

Interesting. Interesting either way you call it. Anyone care to brainstorm interesting uses or abuses either way? Did Mark have some applications in mind?

Basically gates are already so powerful that I
would put every limitation on them that I
reasonably could. Also, you can not use magic
to teleport into a pentagram, you can not use
magic to astral project into a pentagram, you
can not use magic to insubstantial movement
into a pentagram.

I just feel that pentagrams trump magic. You
can not cross them using magic.
