That's what I intended to say.  A dropped or broken weapon, a crit fumble for a hero) is really inconvenient - briefly.  Of course if you only have one weapon, it will probably get you killed.

Similarly using all the st for a spell that fails (or say 1/2 cost on a 17, full on 18) is inconvenient (so is any spell failure) but is only more deadly than a regular failure if it is a big high st spell that will leave the wizard drained.  Similar to a weaponless hero IMO.

If you crit a ROPE, the fact that it cost you full st instead of 1 is inconvenient, but is only a little worse than a regular failure.  


I have not tried this rule, I think even without it that the hero/wizard balance is OK, (and I run low to med magic games anyway)but if we wanted a little color I would be willing to adopt them.
