I remember the delight I felt when I saw that on
the shelves - picked it up and finished it that 
afternoon.  It clearly left the way open for a 
trilogy, but sadly that isn't to be.  I think I 
read somewhere that Sterling Lanier had started 
to work on the third book when he died.  The 
family hasn't felt inclined to hire a writer to 
finish the book, and so there it sits.

I really wanted Hiero to get the full scope of 
his mental powers back too.  Oh well.
