Re: (TFT) Re: Dark City games (was: Lurkers unite!)
Well, as a Lurker myself, I'm prejudiced about Lurker IQ!
Late last night I was visualizing a catalytic reaction to make the single-H,
but wouldn't the hydrogen combine into molecular hydrogen (H2) in the Lurker's
internal ballonets anyway? Still useful for the Cidri airship lines, and
alchemists, and of course CASA (Cidri Aeronautic and Space Administration, you
know: the guys who usually drop demons through gates)...
Dark City Games: A HA! I'll order one tomorrow -- thanks for the tip!

So, is a Lurker's IQ lower than average ... or higher?
:-)

IMHO, they were clearly designed specifically for TFT, with the Dark
City rules published as a work-around for copyright problems. I've
played through large parts of "Island of Lost Spells", and the
encounters are all exactly right for TFT groups, with the "boss"
encounter bad enough that a really tough party *might* survive if
they aren't smart enough to figure out how to get around it - just as
it's intended to be. I guess my only question is whether the
adventures work in systems *other* than TFT.
Will update if I find anything different in the other adventures, but
since I've talked my wife into refereeing those for me and the kids,
it might be a while before I can report.
