Heh. Time for me to confess again that I like GURPS and actually find it
NOT COMPLEX ENOUGH in some ways. At least, up to 3rd edition. 4th edition
is I think perhaps too complex in some places where there is no real call
for complexity. But 3rd edition I think is not complex enough in some
ways, and 4th edition does improve some of those points. Suffice it to say
that I have some house rules that might be slightly too complex even for
me to actually play with much.
OTOH I also made some rules that take statistical results from complex
GURPS combats and boil them down so that fighting between peripheral NPC's
can actually be resolved by rolling a single 12-sided die. That allowed
some very fast play with lots of fodder mobbing around.
