No. I admire the attitude, but no. Three blatant flaws with that reasoning
that immediately occur:
1) Your premise seems to be that TFT weapon damage amounts will map to
such a test.
2) Sanity quantification check #1: Imagine a 5-inch deep sword cut in
someone, and how much fight they are going to have left. I hope you are
imagining no fight left. If not, imagine someone with ST 14, with a
12-inch deep cut through their torso. Still kicking?
3) Even if injury effects mapped directly to amount of tissue damage (like
your target is animated clay or something), cuts are not linear
measurements.

Yes and no. There's a big difference between what could possibly be
accomplished with a certain amount of energy, and what is accomplished in
each case. Human bodies are not just a number of hit points, they're
complex systems.
