Re: (TFT) Rules questions

From: Rune Science <runescience@yahoo.com>

Please verify this:

AM tells us on page 5 that we can only attacking 1 per turn
Later there is an exception for sweep attack, hiting multi opponents.

What if a person has a high enough DX to fire 2 arrows. Can the 2 arrows hit 2
diff enemies?

I would say yes.

Any other exceptions?

The "Two Weapons" talent, which I would again argue allows two different targets for the two weapons (including one engaged, one thrown if the second weapon is throwable).

As Rick said, any spell (multi-hex fire, etc.) which is "area effect".

Dragons, octopi, etc.

In combat you can bend down and pick up a weapon
which takes a full action. (They get +2 DX
attacking you as you bend down.)

I could not find the +2 DX listed. Where is that? It makes "drop weapon" a lot nicer spell...

However, if you are unengaged and not wasting time
being paranoid about being chopped you have more
flexibility. You may scoop a weapon for 3 MA
during the movement phase.

Could I do this twice, to scoop up two things? Either using the -3 MA or using DX rolls each time?

...
The new rules says B can attack the disengaging A,
as A leaves, with a DX negative equal to the
difference of the adj DX. So 13 - 11 = 2 so B
would attack at -2 adj DX (needing a 9 or less to
hit).

We have long used these rules with no problems.

This sounds like a *huge* improvement from the point of view of an armored fighter faced with a high-DX pole weapon user. Good rule, IMHO.

Regarding "Two Weapons", an abusive player (like me) might want to have a character with "Two Weapons" and "Thrown weapons" move, use 6 DX to scoop up and ready two axes, and then throw both axes on the turn they were readied. This would be highly cinematic if it worked :-) and I can't see that it's strictly illegal, but I'm curious how the assembled wisdom here would rule...it does imply about 6 "normal" actions in one turn (pick up, ready, pick up, ready, throw, throw).
