This is just a random idea I had. Have fun. The name's stolen from
Neopets - it seemed to fit.
Meepits

Meepits are small, fluffy, and and cute (they come in white and
several shades of pink). They are harmless, affectionate, and
inquisitive. They live in family groups (roll 2 dice), and will often
come to investigate a party of adventurers, especially if they don't
look especially scary (i.e. are sleeping, resting, or otherwise being
fairly quiet). If given food or other reassurance, they will very
quickly become tame. However, if they are startled or provoked, they
explode, doing 3 dice damage to anyone in the same hex and 1 die to
anyone in an adjacent hex.
Market-square vendors have been lynched for selling meepits to
unsuspecting families.
