Sounds like a cool idea.

Long time in coming, a new TFT campaign which you are welcome to
contribute.

Its a 'some one pissed off the wizard' campaign. Here we go:

The year WAS 2012. Now, its hard to say.

Lightstone, a very old figure, in enjoyed his position of head of his
local branch of organized crime. He was the father of fathers. His
family went back to italy to the 1500, and made their way to the US in
1870.

Untill recently he lived as a comfortable retiree from his business. His
days were spent in at the park,
playing chess or dominoes with the locals. He still lives in a modest home
in brooklyn.
His son had run a stroke misfortune and had to go 'away' for 30 years.
Perhaps 17 with good behavior.

The people responsible were Bob- the criminal defense lawyer, Mike- the
hostage negotiator and
Monty, a thug you would probably never hope to do business with. To make a
long story short, Monty was represented by bob and
Bob got Monty sprung, while in the provess Lightstone Son took the fall.
Bob, never did like Lighstones family very much.

Light stone was actually (big suprise) a mage, and cast with the help of
some friends a flesh banishment spell, to
the world of Menoria.

The players went to sleep in their real word beds and work up in a fantasy
world (yeah its been done before).
As they wake they realize they were changed, but their memories begin to
fade immediately (ah the twist).

Each one of them has an anchor to the real world. Gold ring, cellphone, and
m1911a.

The players:
Barnaby: real world hostage negotiator: becomes Mage. (anchor: ring)
Realworld name: fantasy name:
Acacia: real world Lawyer becomes a Rogue ( i reserve the right defend
the analogy later :), no offense to lawyers of course :) (anchor)
Realworld name: Bob, Fantasy world:babbette.
Ben: real world thug becomes a reptileman fighter. (anchor cellphone)
Realworld name:Monty fantasy name:Gorg

The twist: Each character has a real world anchor with them (see above). Their real world backgrounds and abilities lay dormant until their names
are mentioned.
This allows the DM to activate/draw from their real world. The activation
can be made by an outside source, or internally.
For example during their breakfast at the tavern, an assassination attempt
is made by a realworld thug: Tommy Two finger.
The thug started off with the challenge: "well well, bob and monty, I got
a message from you from a friend. its curtains for you"

"bob" and "monty" awakened the players real world selves, and of course
monty pulled out his m1911 and shot them in the tavern.
In following rounds the mage 'control personed' Twofingers, extracted
information from him. They shot two fingers after that. Nice group :)

The lawyer (transgendered/transmigrated) activated her cellphone and took
some notes. The anchors began to fade, and real world memories went
dormant again.
Thats pretty much how the game started.
They are on the road now. They have some inkling that they are more than
what they seem, and have a clue from two fingers wallet: the name of a
tavern in a local town, that may
or may not resolve this conflict. If they never reverse the spell, they will continue in Menoria till the end of their days, or untill an assassin
gets them.
Either way it should be fun.
