No problem at all with poison on arrows.
It's very traditional
Especially for goblinks.
Poison on claws are trickier especially natural claws.
China Mieville in his novel 'Iron Council' came up with a clawed race
called the Stiltspear.
Most of the time they were peaceable hunter gatherers.
However when their lands were invaded and their holy places desecrated
they took to extreme measures.
Some Stiltspear would put poison on their claws and become warriors.
If the enemy did not kill them first, the poison would.
Until then they feared nothing and were lethal kamikazi warriors...
