Re: Virtual Tabletops (was Re: (TFT) Cyberboard and Gamebox files)



I have used Maptool (rptools.net) and the nbos one.  The Nbos one is fairly
simple without a lot of options, but usable.

The maptool one is very developed, has a complete macro language supporting
it and has many features (including an excellent vision layer tool that can
display what each person sees on their screen).  They have been preparing
for a major new version for about a year but it is an indy development so
it takes time.  I wrote up a campaign file (programmable features) for a
Savage World game and it was quite fun if you are into macro langauges.
 There are heaps of developers for many different game system.

 The biggest hurdle with all these tools is the commitment to do all the
prep work.
