Found treasures at local book store.

Hi Everyone,

I walked into my local Half Price Books store today and on the shelf were Rommel's Panzers Microhistory 1 Fire When Ready Microhistory 5, Dragon's of Underearth Metagame 2, and Trailblazer Microgame 20.  I picked up a of the first 3, now there are 1 Dragon's of Underearth and 5 Trailblazers left selling for $5.99 and $4.99.  If someone wants a copy let me know.  The games are in like new shape, some of the trailblazer's are still sealed.  It looks like someone sold off some back stock.

My old gem/jewelry generator is still at raito.com/gem.zip (C source,
Windows command-line exe, and instructions).

The first version of it was written on paper in the 70s. The first
computer version was in BASIC on a C64.

For gems, it'll figure out the type (more expensive per carat is rarer),
weight (bigger is rarer), number of flaws, size of flaw (in carats),
severity of flaw, and a total value. There are also ways to force
something particular if you want. You can also generate a number of gems.

Jewelry gets type, number of metals, weight of metals, gems, and an
additional value for craftsmanship.

In my game, the Mending spell can fix one carat's worth of flaw in a gem.
So it's often good to keep even badly flawed gems and have them repaired.
I forget just how I had characters fuse gems together, but it was some
spell or other. Gems were pretty good currency in my game.

I keep meaning someday to port it to my better Lisp-based table language,
but I never seem to get around to it.
