Generally a play by post (pbp) game is played on a message board instead of via email. So you have a centralized location for everything.
I have more trouble with those personally because I have to go somewhere for them. I prefer the content get delivered to me, but that's just preference though.

How is PBP different to PBEM?A few years back I tried running a TFT game "The Mnoren Coast" but it coincided with a more popular game coming back to life, perhaps partly because of that I only really got two players. If I knew I had a few more I'd be willing to try again.--
