No there was a boxed version of Death Test 1, I had it the box has long since disintegrated.

I have never seen or heard of any bagged version of DT2. Death Test, yes, of course (in fact, I don't think there was a "boxed" version of that one available); but DT2 has only ever been sold in a box as far as I can tell. And looking through the various "collectors'" blogs, I see no mention of any bagged version there either.

I feel like it does exist and that I've seen it, but I can't tell if
that's just me having incorrect deja vu or not.

Certainly the boxed editions were what I and my friends had, and what
was generally available where I was.
