Jeffrey I am with you on this what they are reading is this answer.

>What changes will you make in the new TFT releases? I want a fully modern presentation, but most of the rules are pretty good as they are. I might revisit the cost of spells, and I might make some changes in the character advancement rules. But I might just leave things alone.<

Which I think is be taken out of context; he is going to modernize some of the rules, he has stated this after this interview.  He says most of the rules are good, which is true, he isn't going to change the basic hit mechanic or how armor works (maybe he adjusts the Dx penalties not a huge change).

As you have said he is going to fixe the pole weapons, experience and some other things.  But the game itself does not need a full rewrite it isn't broken, a fine tuning should be enough.

Best,

Can you quote where he says that?  In fact, he refers the reader to the forums where the debate is on-going...and which you are a participant in.  So this seems...an odd...input from you to this thread.

I see no reason for all this pessimism over things.  Let's wait and see what Steve does, and by all means, EVERYONE go over to the threads and start participating.  If you have suggestions or brilliant ideas, it's time to get them on the screen before the window of opportunity to have an input closes.

Thanks for the heads up Brett!

I read it and Steve is saying that he is planning no large changes
to TFT.  Too bad.

Warm regards, Rick.
