still remember that alchemist: "I am not a murder!! I can't make that.  If
you want that potion of invisibility you've got to bring me the human

An interesting twist on the economy of magic ingredients. <

I do this too --- suddenly the players no longer wonder why the underground
isn't chok full of magic items! And suddenly an already built magic item is
a great treasure indeed!
