Exactly.  That's why everyone submits their own set of core rules.

No one *ever* has enough time.  Just wait until those under-5's turn into
13-year-olds - especially if you have girls. ;-)

I don't want be conversant in a million systems either.  And I don't think
you need to start from scratch - we have a fine example (TFT) to inspire us.

In any case, this was just a thought.  If no one is interested, that's what
it will remain.
