RE: (TFT) A Thought on the St Cost to Renew Spells

Wouldn't a restriction that the recipient must have an IQ equal to the
IQ required to learn the spell (or IQ+2 for a hero, as the hero's brain
isn't "tooled" for such activities) maintain some of the desired
difficulty, without adding extra die-rolls to the game?

An IQ+2 requirement would preclude a lot of heroes (maybe) and it would
be more thematic as wizards could more easily accept the transfer than
heroes.

Finally, since I'm rambling, you could make a "Magic Familiarity" 1 pt
IQ 9 talent that would be required for both this extra ability and any
spell item use. That way you can kill two birds with one stone, making
such an ability more difficult AND limit magic item use (since it seems
to some that magic item use is too powerful as described).

It might prevent Thag the barbarian from walking around holding a ring
and saying "Reverse Missiles, ON!"

My (limited ITL play experience) 2 cents.
