The name means "Pretty Jaw"

It is a small carnivorous dinosaur (about 2ft long, about the size of a
chicken) of the late Jurassic, a bit like the velociraptor from
"Jurassic Park" but a lot smaller and without the oversized claw, but
having a small rear pointed claw like a spur.

Having said that the film used the shape of Deinonychus instead of
Velociraptor. THe real Velociraptor has a more crocodile like head and
much smaller claws but has an easier name to say than Deinonychus.
