(TFT) Hundred strength elemental
Hundred strength elemental
I decided to limit the use of strength batteries. One can not draw
more strength from a battery than they have fatigue. Otherwise the battery
would be acting like an aid spell. Increasing the effective strength of the
spell caster. If two characters with fifty point batteries were to cast aid
back and forth they could build up one to hundred strength. They would
probably have to do it in ten point chunks or so. That's about ten DX
rolls. Odds are they would miss a DX roll somewhere, probably blow a big
chunk of the total accumulated.
Turn one 10,20
Turn two 30,40
Turn three 50,60
Turn four 70,80
Turn five 90,100
This kind of back and forth accumulation can be enhanced with a simple
ritual. The two wizards face each other and place their right hand on the
others' left shoulder. This way the -1 DX modifier for the Aid spell
(thrown) is negated. Another way to do it is to surround one wizard with
six apprentices. Each apprentice tries to aid the wizard. The wizard then
casts the spell. The optional delay rule is useful in this case. By
waiting until all the apprentices attempt aid first, gives the wizard a full
two turns to attempt the spell. With full aided strength. If the wizard
should fail their first DX roll, hopefully it wasn't a missile spell, then
they should delay their action on the second turn also. This way any
apprentice who failed the first roll of the aid spell (loosing only one
fatigue), or had a strength battery, could possibly add even more strength.
The next obvious step is a second row of apprentices. Hopefully the
inner circle has a higher average DX as they will be passing on a higher
cumulative Aid. A third row, with a middle row of high DX, and an inner
circle of at least fifteen DX, could produce enormous ST. The operative
word is could. It is better to give each row two turns to pass on all their
Aid. At the end of the second turn the next row goes. With thirty wizards
averaging ten ST it should be easy enough to produce one elemental a day of
at least one hundred strength.
