although the PK'er has to be 'in town' to do so, meaning someone
down in the dungeon right next to you can't suddenly go hostile
and start whomping you. This is nice, but it's still leads to

happily killing monsters with two or three other people. Some
idiot comes in, joins our party (to find out where we are) and

But in any case, I agree that Bliz's compromise solution (of
requiring a hostility declaration) works, although it doesn't
go as far as I like.
