(TFT) Bow of Dreams

Neatly circumventing regulism...

An excerpt from the Magister Magistorum, VOL I:

The Bow of Dreams comes to us from the Age Before Last, from a time when
all worlds commingled, and creatures of every type walked the world.
Fashioned from the wing-bones of a dragon, laminated with the spinning
wings of a dragonfly-machine, this composite bow was the favored weapon
of the Man with No Name, The Warrior of the Ways, and by all surviving
accounts, no creature could resist it's arrows. Drawn by the Warrior,
this weapon would create an arrow of whatever type was most feared by
the target, searching their dreams to find such, and legend recounts
missles of flame, silver, lignum vitae, ice, crystal, and salt.

The bow casts an illusion of whatever missle type is desired by the
wielder, providing he knows the Illusion spell and spends 1 point of
Mana. Normal damage for the missle type accrues to the target, who must
be aware of the attack, but need not be aware of the details. A
vampire, for example, would need to see the bow being drawn and fired,
but would not need to be informed of the 'silver' broadhead.

Any user may draw the bow, creating an illusionary normal arrow of fine
craftsmanship and black, red, and white fletching and banding. This
requires no magical knowledge or Mana/ST expenditure.

An informed or suspicious target or witness may attempt to disbelieve
the missle, provided they execute the standard 'disbelieve' action.
Such may be the truth behind tales of foemen 'standing like trees' while
the Warrior shot them with _normal_ arrows. :)
