(TFT) Are TFT Magic Items Too Complicated?

Hi all,
	If we were to republish TFT, would you say
that the system for making magic items is too
complicated?

	I was able to make it work, but I am a math
geek.

	Steve Jackson obviously thought so, in 
GURPS the magic item creation is significantly
simpler.

	
	I am curious about what people think.  One
idea I've been playing around with is that there
are no NEEDED ingredients.  Everything can be
done with common ingredient but if you have the
special stuff, it costs a little bit less to 
make or maybe is a bit better an item.  (This was
prompted by my additions for the chemistry and 
alchemistry rules but magic items work the same
way.)


	If you don't care strongly no need to reply,
but I'm curious how many people strongly like or
dislike the TFT magic item creation system.
