Re: (TFT) What about those darn elementals?
Aah, well, one has to make roleplaying penalties, I guess similar to the
'blackouts' in the Ravenloft campagin setting. A predatory nightcreature
which preys on humanoids is going to have to make some 3/IQ or 4/IQ rolls
then sometimes to avoid 'reverting'
and, say, eating allies/family members or drikning their blood.
Actually, how about this:
ANY time a character with Vampirism or Darkshift is alone with one other -
3/IQ roll to avoid fighting to sudue or knock unconscious, failure means
attack, critical fail means frenzy (i.e. fight to death and gobble up
remains)
- this is to appeal to vampire's understanding of secrecy and bloodlust
ANY time character encounters sleeping person, 3/IQ roll to drink 1d6 ST of
blood, critical means person drained and dead.
in combat, must make 3/IQ roll to avoid drinking blood of fallen victim for
1 turn before attacking next creature.
For every 3 days that blood is not drunk, add 1 die to all above rolls.
(There's gotta be a reason why these guys are unpopular......)
PS: A small but widespread cult of vampire hunters may be enough, with a 1
in 6 chance/week that the vampire character is in a town of them finding
him.
