Not necessarily if the farms are fungal based they would be 
underground in the mid-level sections of the hive, with egg 
chambers and collection/staging points closer to the surface. 
Queen would probably be at the deepest levels. I would think that 
most Hymenopteran would be omnivorous using whatever was 
available.
