(TFT) Eyes behind & sweeping blows.

Very good questions.

I was actually thinking about this earlier to-day vis a vis those nasty
slimey octopi.

My feeling is "why not?" I would permit an attack to up to all five occupied
hexes and just extend the penalty to -8 and -10, respectively, for the last
two targets (assuming a total of five). Note that my present feeling is that
the penalty is per target rather than per hex -- intervening space will not
stop your blow, but an opponent's body might.

As for aiming to miss friendlies, that is a different matter. I tend to see
the sweeping blow as being a tad less descriminate then normal attacks or
missile fire, and I would rule that any friendlies in the line of fire will
simply get slashed. Note that you could limit your attack to just two hexes
(assuming your friend is in the third; if he be in the middle then either
you forego a sweep or let 'em have it). That's my call, anyway, but you all
can do it any way you think is best.

Until I set up a few targets (non-living - I am not terribly mean) and try a
few sweeping attacks, I am left with nothing more than informed
speculation...
